Atlantic Air Compressor Oils D-Series

Synthetic Di-ester - Peak Pressure Performance

ATLANTIC D-SERIES AIR COMPRESSOR OILS are premium quality synthetic diester air compressor lubricants. Specially designed for use in heavy duty reciprocating air compressors operating at continuously high temperatures up to 200°C for stationary equipment. ISO 32 and ISO 68 grades are most commonly used for rotary compressors, while higher viscosity grades are preferred for reciprocating units.

Applications

ATLANTIC AIR COMPRESSOR OILS are designed primarily for portable and stationary rotary screw and vane air compressor, reciprocating air compressor crankcases and cylinders particularly effective for continuous high temperature operation with discharge temperatures up to 200º C. Suitable for units with a history of excess oil degradation, poor valve performance or deposit formation & are compatible with all metals used in compressor construction and with mineral-oil compatible elastomers used in seals, O-rings and gaskets, compressor systems with critical gears and bearings, units operating under severe conditions.

ATLANTIC D-SERIES AIR COMPRESSOR OILS are compatible with seals made from fluorinated hydrocarbon, silicone, fluorosilicone, polysulfide, Viton, Teflon, Epoxy paint, Oil-resistant alkyd, Nylon, Delrin, Celcon and high nitrile Buna N NBR (above 36% acrylonitrile) materials. Materials not recommended include natural and butyl rubbers, low nitrile Bune N NBR (below 30% acrylonitrile), Neoprene, polyacrylate, styrene/butadiene and chlorosulfonated polyethylene.

ATLANTIC D-SERIES AIR COMPRESSOR OILS show excellent performance in the following types of compressors;

  • Units operating under severe conditions.
  • Multistage units with a history of excessive oil degradation from mineral oil-based products.
  • They can be used for cylinder and crankcase lubrication.
  • Compressor systems with critical gears and bearings.
  • Compressors used in stationary and mobile applications.
  • All types of air compressors but specifically recommended for reciprocating air compressor.

ATLANTIC AIR COMPRESSOR OILS are not recommended for air compressors used in breathing air applications.

Product Benefits

  • Reduced deposit formation in discharge lines.
  • Extended valve cleaning interval.
  • Improved safety.
  • Reduced risk of fire and explosions.
  • Extended oil-drain intervals.
  • Low carbon-forming tendency, especially on valves.
  • Enhanced water separation.
  • Low friction properties and resistance to viscosity increase from oxidation.
  • Increased resistance to varnish, carbon and acid formation.
  • Wide operation temperature range.
