ATLANTIC GEAR EP – Extreme Pressure Oil

ATLANTIC GEAR EP series gear oils are exceptionally high-performance gear oils that have outstanding extreme pressure characteristics and load-carrying properties. These oils are designed for use in all different kinds of enclosed gear drives that have circulation or splash lubrication systems. It is carefully developed to suit the demands placed on seals, bearings, and gears under high levels of stress.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Superior ability to withstand oil oxidation and heat decomposition.
  • Enhanced protection against bearing wear and tear
  • Strong resistance to the accumulation of sludge and deposits
  • Many different fields of use
  • Extended service life for both the equipment and the oil
  • Denting caused by produced debris and wear particles was reduced.
  • Improved protection against gear wear caused by micro pitting
  • The high degree of compatibility with a variety of different seal materials
  • Enhanced protection against the rust and corrosion of steel, as well as the corrosion of copper and alloys of soft metals
  • The ability to resist foaming and the development of emulsions

APPLICATIONS

  • The ATLANTIC GEAR EP series is utilized in a vast array of industrial and maritime applications, particularly those involving spur, helical, bevel, and worm gears. The following are examples of specific applications:
  • Industrial gearing for heavy-duty applications such as conveyers, agitators, dryers, extruders, fans, mixers, presses, pulpers, pumps (including oil well pumps), screens, and extruders;
  • Maritime gearing, includes the ship’s primary propulsion, centrifuges, and deck machineries such as winches, windlasses, cranes, turning gears, pumps, elevators, and rudder carriers;
  • Shaft couplings, screws, and heavily loaded plain and rolling contact bearings that operate at low speeds are examples of uses that do not include gears.
